Alex is an instructor at Anthem Road Academy, El Sistema, and Harmony Project in Tulsa, OK. She teaches cello, violin, and piano. Alex is the principal cellist for the Tulsa People's Orchestra and serves as the Chamber Orchestra Coordinator. She is also the principal cellist at Oral Roberts University, and plays cello with the University of Tulsa Symphony Orchestra, the Cello Ladies cello quartet, and the Asbury New Covenant Orchestra where she occasionally conducts the orchestra. Alex frequently appears and volunteers with the Tulsa Honors Orchestra and the Tulsa Community College Orchestra with her cello. She has participated and been accepted into summer music festivals in Mexico, Italy, Colorado, and Oklahoma. My Approach
As an educator, I will help students of all ages and playing abilities reach their desired musical goals in a supportive and welcoming environment. My students will learn the fundamental skills of their instrument which consists of scales, basic music theory, and solo repertoire. While each student is different, I adapt my lesson plans to each students’ personality and interests and build confident and independent players.
